I wasn't a fan of drawing backgrounds but I had to force myself back then to the point of it being one of my favourite kind of work. For the sake of this manga, I have learn a lot of things and improve as an artist. It is not just my creation, but the manifestation of my pride
I take this part as an opportunity to delve deeper into Ish's past, I wasn't happy with how the intro of the manga was, but I've grown to be a better manga artist. I think Ish getting into a dream of seeing and longing her old self is a great exposition of her character.
I would like to separate the performer author from the work. There are some artists whose pictures I like but whose words and actions I don't like. Even if a person is a personality-defying person, I want to see his or her work as a separate thing.
Of all artists in the history, personally my favourite would be Franklin Booth. He inspired me as I develop my manga artstyle. Here is some of his works.
